When Kelly's submission came through to be featured as a #adorerealbride came through and I saw that she was calling her wedding COVID-remix, I knew I had to get her story out there. Kelly and Paul got married on June 27, 2020...right smack dab in the middle of a pandemic. Their original plan was to get married in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. With a beach ceremony and backyard reception. But....coronavirus

I know there are a ton of brides out there right now that are facing these same decisions and struggles. And as I read through Kelly's interview and looked through the images of her wedding day I was overcome by the joy, good spirits and love that I saw and felt. Even though their wedding did not go or look exactly as they had planned it, it was still their perfect day. Here are some of her thoughts:

Do you have a special memory from your wedding day?

A special memory would be how our wedding day ended up being very intimate! Everyone who was there contributed to our day. We will forever be thankful to our family and friends that helped make our Covid wedding so special!

What do you admire most about your new spouse?

Everything! I’m sure that’s a popular answer but seriously.... Paul is so positive and was with me every step of the way with all of the tough decisions we had to make regarding the wedding this year.

Tell us about the proposal, anything special?

Paul surprised me with a proposal June 2019 at sunset point. Turns out a wedding photographer happened to be making a rest stop and captured the proposal on her camera! It is so wonderful that someone captured our moment out of the goodness of their heart and shared pictures for us to keep forever.

Tell us more about your wedding. How did you choose your location?

When we planned our large destination wedding, we never imagined It wouldn’t happen, especially not because of a global pandemic! Right when It was time to make the tough choice to postpone to 2021, we found out we are pregnant! Such a happy surprise! This backed up our decision we had made but encouraged us to keep our date and turn It into something special just for us. We decided to get married on the day we planned this year with a small group of family and friends. Luckily, my parents have amazing friends that generously let us borrow their 2nd home near Showlow for the occasion. It ended up being perfect for our growing family!

And because I am a sucker for first look reaction pictures....

What was your experience with Adore Bridal?

I went to Adore Bridal’s in August 2019 in search of the perfect dress. After only a couple others, I found the one! The dress came in on time as expected and was almost a perfect fit. A Couple months later for alterations. About a week before my first alterations appointment, we decided to keep our wedding date in the midst of Covid but change the venue and guest list and found out I was pregnant! Throughout the appointments of alterations Suzanne was amazing. She helped me look fabulous in the dress while supporting my small bump and was able to make adjustment seamlessly. The end result was perfect and I could not have asked for a better experience.

Thank you for sharing your story with us Kelly. You are an inspiration for your attitude and willingness to adapt and change while staying joyful!

We can't wait to see those baby pictures AND the destination wedding next year!

XOXO, Suzanne and Team Adore
